The Cod Father

The Cod-Father jig is a great all-rounder and will tempt both demersal and pelagic fish. The swimming action will entice even the wariest of fish to bite!

The shape of the jig allows it to drop very quickly which lets it to cut through the current. The sharp keel speed ups the drop and gives it stability on the fall. 

Whilst this jig is effective on all fish, it excels in the deep on large demersal fish. Small rod movements and partial handle turns will make the jig swim and hang in the strike zone and bring the fish in to have a look. A more aggressive jigging action incorporating long upsweeps to allow the jig to fall make it irresistible and will often result in a strike on the drop. 

The silver fish scale foil on the backside of the jig makes it irresistible to Pelagic fish both on the drop and the retrieve... so make sure you are holding on tight as you will find that you hook a lot of unexpected Pelagics (Kingfish, YFT, Marlin).
